Church Street Wine Cellars is a small, specialty wine retail store, filled with diverse, limited production fine wines from artisanal, family-owned producers in a variety of price points from around the globe. Many of these wines happen to have third party endorsements from the trade press, but wines where the passion of the winemaker shows through, or where the regional character of the wine is evident. Authenticity and "terroir", not fomulaic manipulation is what we seek.
Although many of these wines may be difficult to find, they are worth searching out. There are so many amazing wines out there (and soooo many under $10!), one should never simply settle for shiraz with a kangaroo label. We do not buy any wines that we have not tasted for ourselves, and are selected based on quality and value from our own experience, and are offered regardless of label, "image", vintage, or the rating of any particular reviewer. Church Street Wine Cellars also offers wine classes, in store educational wine tastings, off site wine tastings and events.
